Our aim is to protect the whales and marine wildlife of Iceland and demonstrate how we can build a sustainable economy around whales without hunting them. Húsavík is home to 4 whale watching operators, a whale museum and a university research center devoted to the study of whales. It is estimated that study of whales and whale tourism brings 150 jobs to our community.
